  1. Hi Bob & Phil,

I've had a read through and really enjoyed your comments.
You may wish to know that Whitstable on Wednesdays now has three places doing a sub-£10 deal for a meal.
The best deal is the 'Star of Bengal one each of starter, main, side, rice & nan at £9.95. More importantly four of us mixed up dishes and really rated it two weeks ago.
The Fusion Spice lounge, is similar but pick a rice or nan, again food great but I thought it a grim place and overworked waiters didn't help. (my wife thought it:'lovely').
I'm trying the Ship Centurion next Wednesday, a high street pub that is making a curry from scratch.
Slightly different menu to the norm can be found at the Krishna by the train station, god awful looking spot from the outside but a nice change, all pretty kicking dishes and perhaps too creamy for some, but overall a really good alternative curry.
    best wishes,
    Darren.

  2. Hi Darren

Thanks for your kind comments. It is great to get feedback!

We tried the Star of Bengal over a year ago now - before we started to score table - so it may be worth a revisit. The Ship Centurion sounds interesting too.

The Krishna we are not so sure about. We went there before we even started the Blog and Bob found the style of service a bit too
Nouvelle Cuisine for his liking and he is pretty conservative.

Have done the Fusion Spice Lounge a couple of times and find the music pretty wierd! Phil can remember going there when it was Giovanni's and it doesn't seem to have changed that much inside.

We are doing a delivery to Northiam in East Sussex on Friday so looking forward to finding a new place out there.

If you do get a chance do try Maharaja at the Bandstand in Herne Bay and India Royal in Faversham. Had great curries in both!

    Kind regards

    Bob & Phil
